Doors Plus

I simply wanted an email so I could send my plan in for shutters, sliding door replacement and new front door. I was told I need to come and look at the products and hardware. I didn’t need to do that I already went on their website and had everything ready to go for an estimate. Just kept on saying come in. I got an email eventually I sent it in and never heard from them for an estimate I kept chasing them but nothing no response. So I took my business elsewhere your loss 15k worth of business to someone else.

I had an unpainted glass pane door fitted to my front entry. I had mentioned to sales staff that I was going to paint it black, and also the fitter who removed the previous black painted door.

A few days after the fitting I noticed quite a large gap at the bottom of the door, the fitter returned, the exchange wasn't very pleasant and he accused me of being aggressive, which I deny. He told me the gap was because the door had shrunk being painted black (it was behind a security mesh door AND only ever had sun on it briefly in the early hours of the morning). Nothing has ever been resolved despite several calls and emails.

The Manager did visit around Christmas time, and told me he would get another fitter to come and rectify the gap. I am still waiting 4 months after the Manager visited and emails and phone calls have produced no action,

I would never recommend this company, in hindsight the door is cheaply made, hollow and the old adage, you get what you pay for (approx $1700 unpainted). All good service and promises seemed to go out the window one the cash was paid.

After previously going to the Balcatta store for my front door - which I love (custom Guardian), I went back to get the rest of my doors replaced. To do this, I had 3 sets of double doors (one set was upstairs) and a single door installed on the 20th March, and I must say the technician, Karl, did an amazing job. He was there all day by himself and worked flat out to get the job done. Totally recommend Karl (if you can ask for him, do so - he does an amazing job). Great doors as normal.
