Aldermere Estate

My family and I stayed at Aldermere Estate for three nights in April 2014. We loved the design of the units - with cosy living area downstairs and comfortable airy bedrooms upstairs. The overall building is kind of American colonial in design and is furnished with mahogany furniture. It has an olde-worlde charm that helps you relax straight away. My kids loved our unit because it had a gas mock-wood heater. We walked from our unit the 8 minutes down to Strahan - fine for us but you may need to drive if you don't like steep hills (the footpath is also a little dangerous (a car has knocked over the fence recently)). The availability of a laundry at the end of the units was helpful.
