Sunbury Cylinder Heads

I recently needed a full rebuild on a

1fz-fe for my 80 series.

From day one Darryl was great, he was straightforward and honest, giving me an accurate estimate and explaining what he'd be checking, machining and replacing for the full 'crank up' rebuild he'd be doing for me.

I got the Cruiser back within a week or so and was delighted. But unfortunately the engine was using a little water on the initial run in phase. I immediately called Darryl and to my surprise he sounded every bit as concerned as I was, and after some cautionary checks on the engine status, he told me to bring it straight back in to him. After further tests and a brand new head, (at his expense), Darryl found there was a crack in the head around one of the head bolts, which must have happened on reassembly and would not have shown up on initial pressure testing. Having completed all work within a few days under warranty I got the 80 back, and I now have peace of mind knowing the engine will now see me on many trips around the country in near and far future.

I cannot recommend Darryl highly enough, his straightforward and honest approach towards his business and reputation is a rarity, so if you have any work to be done on your block or cylinder head you'll go a long way before finding another engine reconditioner like him.
