Coombs Shoe Service

I went there to repair two pairs of shoes. One where the sole was peeling off and the other to fit new heels. They did a decent job on replacing the heels, however, when I saw the results of gluing the sole back on the other pair, it was horrendous. There was glue seeping out everywhere and it was very visible. I paid and left. A month later (after I had worn the shoes about 4-5 times in my carpeted office) the heel separated from the shoe! So I took them back and they did not give me a price. When I picked them up afterwards, the woman tried to charge me. I told her that I was not advised of a charge at any stage and that it was because they did not fix it properly the first time that this happened - I wasn't going to pay for their laziness and/or incompetence. She argued with me telling me that I had bought bad shoes in the first place. I've had the shoes for 5 years and worn them a lot.... I'm pretty sure they were worth the money I paid... Overall, bad service, bad quality, bad attitude, and expensive. Don't go.
