A ladies standard cut (layered hair and fringe) took less than 15mins to complete which would considered to be fine as there was no hair wash and blow dry. However it was clear there was no professional care as there was no sectioning of the hair, the layers are not measured against each other, the fringe was carelessly horizontally cut above my eyebrows in one snip. Further attempts to cut the fringe even shorter was luckily stopped in time. I walked out from the salon with deep regret after seeing my uneven flat hair, short fringe and fifty short.

The service there is impeccable, every time I leave I've got a smile on my face. The hairdressers are all very good at what they do and are both friendly and professional. IF you have not been before then your missing out! All bad reviews probably wouldn't know a good haircut if it hit them in the face.

With my wedding day fast approaching i went in to get my side fringe cut. I wanted the length to be around my eye, so i even pointed to my eye to clarify the length i wanted it at. Next thing i know, i get a hair cut in less than 10 seconds, my fringe is sitting just above my eyebrow, and its more of a straight fringe than a side fringe. It was also zig zag in its shape and did not flow properly at all. My advice, stay away from the salon. They dont put care into what they do. I absolutely do not recommend it.

I paid $420 for my hair treatment in Kim Sun Young Beauty Salon yesterday(27th June).

I went to trim my hair last week(20th June) ($44.00) and hairdresser Anny recommended me a Magic Straight Perm. She said it will be $280 because I have a long hair.
It's expensive but I decided to do the treatment.
I made booking and went for treatment yesterday.
She started spray something on my hair and suddenly she said I need an extra treatment to protect my hair otherwise my hair will be so damaged.
The name of the treatment is 'Ricotta Treatment' and the cost is $150 but she can do $100 for me.
I didn't have a choice because she already started treat my hair and she said I really need it.
I quickly googled what is the 'Ricotta treatment' during the treatment but there is no such thing.
I asked her what is the 'Ricotta treatment' and she said she is not doing the 'recotta treatment' and doing something else with the same cost. She didn't tell me what the treatment was.
The end of the treatment I had to buy a hair oil.
Straight Perm $280 + Unknown treatment $100 + Hair oil $49 - discount $9 = $420

[Update]
I went back to the shop today (11th July) because my hair is so damaged and the straight was not properly done. The hairdresser strongly disagree but refunded me $100.
I went to the different branch (George street Kim Sun Young) and asked their opinion.
The manager said the Magic Straight Perm was not properly done but there is nothing they can do because my hair is so damaged. She said any more treatment will damage my hair even more.

STAY AWAY! Went there yesterday afternoon on Pitt street after reading all the reviews on Yelp. Disappointed with all the misleading positive reviews on Yelp actually. The service was rude, the hair cut was bad, literally 2 min rush job, the lady was not interested in your input. The cut was $22 and i still can't believe i even paid it. Never ever stepping a foot into this place. VERY VERY DISAPPOINTED! You get what you pay for! Now im stuck wearing a hat for the next 2 weeks.

bad attitude from staff. Poor English communication.

Stuffed up my hair, cause she couldn't understand what i wanted. So I asked her to shave my head and then she started giving me rude attitude.

she didn't even shave my head properly. So many missing spots. Had to do it again at home.

what a waste of time and money.
