Manning Eye Surgery

After going there with conjuctivitis i was given eye drops and told to let it take its course, that was a thursday , by Monday i could hardly see out of both eyes i went back and was told to comtinue eye drops and was given steroid drops with instructions to apply drops 3 times a day. As any one would know the excessive use can cause damage to eyes, surely the amount of drops given should have been noted. Again i was told to rough it out despite looking like my dogs had just chewed on both eye sockets. Luckily for me i have a professional background on large animal health and realised the so called eye specialist should have at least taken a swab to ascertain a viral or bacterial infection. So off i went to my local gp who kindly has taken a swab/culture and put me on a broad spectrum antibiotic awaiting the culture results. All eye drops have stopped and occasional use of steroid still applied. Within 36hrs the swelling has subsided and my eyes now look like they have only been only chewed by the cat. I would never go back to this eye specialist with my cattle dog or person i love and care . His third world techniques belong with his ancestry. Absolute disgrace and i recommend driving with one eye shut if it means getting to an eye specialist with ability then the one in Taree
