BEWARE. I want to warn others about my experience with James from Connelly Home Improvements. He arrived today to provide a quote, and the interaction raised several red flags.



James refused to speak with me alone and insisted that my boyfriend also be present. I made it clear that wouldn’t be happening, as I’m the one who handles all decisions for our home. We’ve just completed major internal renovations, and not a single builder, tiler, plumber, electrician, or tradesperson has ever had an issue dealing directly with me as a female.



He then said he needed to speak to both of us because he required an immediate yes‑or‑no decision once he gave a quote. When I explained that I’d be getting multiple quotes before committing to anything, he became visibly angry and walked out.



His pitch felt scripted, with the usual lines about “marketing in the area” and “wholesale rates.” For anyone considering Connelly Home Improvements, please be cautious. A reputable contractor will never pressure you for an instant decision or make you feel uncomfortable. Trust your instincts and look elsewhere if something feels off.

We signed up with you on November 2nd and you told us that our place would be finished before Christmas.



Admittedly I was extremely sceptical but here we're on December 15th our home is complete and looking extremely immaculate, thankyou once again for fulfilling your promise.



I can't recommend the product and company enough.

Horrible business owner with shady practices. Product terribly let down by the finishes and lack of suitable components such as internal corner pieces. Product is already falling off the house after a couple of weeks and the boards are quite visibly warped in many places. Connelly takes no responsibility for anything and blames it all on the installation which he has nothing to do with, even though he sold us a package and provided the installer.

The cladding is noisy from inside the house, you hear it constantly move and squeak in the wind which was not something I had considered - I feel it should be fixed better to the house.

So disappointed in the huge amount of money we spent on this product only to want to remove it and start over.

Had the house cladded through Connelly Home Improvements, had been thinking of doing it for years, glad we did in the end the place looks great and the workmanship Carlos and the gang has been of a high standard in my opinion. Can recommend this company.

Sold us on doing cladding and windows which we would have done elsewhere but got the "we can do that", told us they had special items to help with our install that only they have, but never got them, quoted the job then added cost for things already discussed. Back dated contract to remove cooling off period- we went with because the sales pitch was good but we wont ever do again. To be fair, the house looks good but its been a battle. Jim never listened to what we were saying and then flat out refuses to acknowledge issues.

I look at my shed every day and I’m still suitably impressed. We had Connelly Home Improvements clad our shed 6+ years ago, the shed looks as good as the day we had Jim and his team complete this mammoth task,

Cannot stat this enough, we're very happy and we should've written this review three years ago once the work was finished, thankyou for prompting us and allowing us the oppurtunity on a job well done, very happy.

Was very happy with the overall workmanship and the finished product, will be in touch shortly Jim as some of my neighbours are looking at getting something similar.

Very happy with the installation of the cladding around the property.
