Amigo Mexican Restaurant

Got a shock when we saw our bill tonight, realised on the way out there was a very small sign saying no half priced margaritas anymore (waitresses didn’t bother to mention this either). What a shame. Been coming here at least once a month on a Friday night for quite some time because of the margaritas but new owner has taken this great promotion away.



We won’t be returning until (if) it returns.



Edit: you say “we will never do half priced margaritas forever” yet your small sign says temporarily. So which is it?

When I first arrived in the area, we tried Amigos and didn't like it or the service at all. That was 14 years ago. For the last 5 years or so we have been going there regularly, particularly Sundays, and have enjoyed the meals and the service very much. The meals are ample, fairly priced, they include sour cream (which Taco Bill stopped) and they are consistently good. I particularly love the quesadilla de la casa (vegetarian bean quesadilla) and my husband likes the Burrito supremo. We both love their death by chocolate dessert. The atmosphere is great and there are large windows overlooking pleasant woodland. We love the place so much that this year will be our third Cinco de Mayo party there with friends. :-) If I were to change anything, I would get a big bowl of FLOUR tortilla chips to serve at the start of the meal like a typical tex-mex restaurant back home. Other than that, I would not change a thing. Well done, Amigos!

went to Amigos restaurant in Traralgon and it was a shamble of very poor service, over salted meals and overall a huge disappointment, I would not recommend this place on the above mentioned, pity as it seemed to have nice atmosphere,

I have been to a lot of Mexican Restaurants. This Restaurant is very nice. It reminded us of our time in Cancun Mexico. IT's a nice big Restaurant with plenty of space. The food is always nice. I have had probably 30 meals at this place over the years.
