Decided to give the chicken schnitzel another try. It was not worth the $8 increased price.

Although the price of the chicken schnitzel was beyond satisfactory at $6 a plate, the amount of time it took for it to be prepared was humiliating. A regular customer was forced to wait 45 minutes for one of the most simple and commonly prepared meals available. Not acceptable.

Tura Beach is a long, challenging private course on land that is hilly. Visitors are very welcome. I love the second where you can try to carry the water to get on in two on a par 5. Last time I miss-judged the yardage and flew the green into the water. Actually the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th are about as good a stretch of holes that you will find anywhere. Being next to the ocean is just a bonus. The back nine is a bit hilly and sandy and a little less interesting. After a lot of rain it stays dry because the back nine is very hilly so drains well and the front nine is on sandy soil so is always in good shape. One thing I don't like about it is the hilly back nine is not up to the level of the superb front nine near the ocean. If you are considering this course you might also consider Merimbula or Bega. The Bistro has meal deals almost every night.
