Attended cafe for coffee. Pleasant wait staff and good coffee however as we sat we observed a staff member being dropped off and immediately throw banana peel in RSL garden bed then walk across road, past rubbish bins, to start shift ~10am. Pointed out to staff member that he had just littered only to be met by the response “ it’s biodegradable “.

What an extremely poor experience. We attended for a family lunch today Fathers Day 2014. We had a booking but upon our arrival we had to be seated twice prior to our meal being served. That was the least of our concern my husbands meal was literally dropped in his lap, I do accept that accidents occur, and felt for the waitress, but the way this was matter was dealt with was appalling he was offered a complimentary coffee a replacement meal arrived 35 mins latter but the quality of the Par
ma gave us nothing to rave about cold and the cheese topping neither melted or browned, to which we were charged. Wait it gets better I then ordered the lemon lime tart upon its arrival the side dobb of cream was contaminated with an obvious black hair. A Chi tea ordered tasted just like muddy water and a coffee had was very bitter and grainy. Our complaints were brought to the attention of the head waiter who did seem some- what apologetic and relayed this complaint to the older very non business like owner who became very defensive stating that accidents do happen and this is the first time anything like this had happened to which I acknowledge but to not listen to my concerns and my request that the meal be at the very least be free. I was told in no uncertain terms I was over reacting and wasn't playing fair and was unreasonable. She even went as far as to say my husband was partly to blame as the waitress said he lifted his arm as she was putting down the meal. What rubbish. I suggested that the tables were on a small scale for a seating of 4 to which she replied was its a cafe not a restaurant. We have frequented this eatery on other occasions but NEVER AGAIN
