Extremely rude, racist, and unprofessional staff! I am a highly qualified secondary school teacher at a reputable school in Warragul. The staff at this clinic assumed I couldn’t speak English, and the way they spoke to me was absolutely appalling.
I was the first patient waiting, yet they prioritised other patients who arrived without appointments. After waiting for over an hour, they finally decided to take my CT scan. However, they made me lie under the scanner for nearly 50 minutes before informing me that the machine wasn’t working. Despite this, they insisted I remain on the hard surface.
As a result, I suffered from a painfully stiff back while waiting to have the scan completed.

After dealing with the admin staff for I-Med Warragul Hospital I was left totally stressed and upset. The way I was treated over the phone was an absolute joke. I think the staff must forget, or possibly not care, that they’re dealing with people in a diagnostic context who are obviously worried, and certainly don’t phone looking to add to that. After I was given the completely wrong information and was as a result worked up and on the verge of tears, was offered no apology whatsoever. As a result I took my referral elsewhere.

Today I went to IMED Warragul Victoria 29 Mason street for my Echocardiogram.
The technician who obviously was overworked and stressed, treated me so very badly that I had to take a Diazepam.
The technician became flustered when I tried to give her my Medicare card, as I received a new one and was not sure if the older one was needed or the new one (I am a migrant to Australia and was not aware that I needed to discard the old card)
I calmly and in a soft voice let her know that her tone was making me feel uncomfortable and that I was not aware that I needed to discard the older card.
She seemed to get even more agitated and told me that she was sick and tired of people like me and that she could just not do my echocardiogram at all if I wanted.
In a calm voice I said, look, it seems as if our personalities clash a bit, let’s just put it aside and get the heart scan done. We did complete the scan.
I am aware that in these days a lot of people are overworked and stressed however coming from a healthcare profession myself in Disability services, If I had spoken to a client the way that he did, I would have been sent home.
I would suggest that the technician undergo additional Diversity training and possibly anger management training.
Kind regards Robert
