High price of blu-rays

The price you are asking for second hand 4k blu rays is actually ridiculous.

Updated Review on Cash Converters Werribee

Prices have gone up on certain items however plenty of affordable items still available to buy. Their markups are however higher than other stores that markup up at 300%. Good to sell more expensive items (when comparing with other stores) but other times it's worth exploring a different store such as Moonee Ponds to sell.

Generally while customer service is top notch, the buys and loans staff are generally more conservative with their buying rates. Morgan offers for the lowest but is one of the friendliest (he'd allow for room to negotiate). Sam and Nae buy a bit more generous for low end items but sold an old Samsung tablet for $25 valued at $75 on eBay to Sam (which was a relatively conservative rate).

Jake seems to be the most generous with buys compared with other staff however was a bit pickier although I haven't been served by him for a long time (things could have changed).

I haven't been served by Angel but she's definitely very friendly.

For retail staff there is Karen, Alix, Basma, Ethan, Steve, and a part timer which I couldn't catch her name because I don't shop at Cashies when she works. They all offer good customer service and are helpful with general enquiries. Ethan knows his games well.

Management includes Brett (Store Manager) and Hieu (Assistant Store Manager/Retail Manager) where they offer good service across the board (been served by Brett more often). Their policies now allow to purchase anything that doesn't sell amazingly fast but must be purchased at a very low price.

One of the better stocked up stores in Victoria, and very good quality goods (they even sold me a Jump Force (an out of print game) on PS4 for $25 due to a promotion)

Brand new items are priced fairly too but they can buy them for low (not a worry if you get next to nothing for them off eBay)

Every staff member now knows my name because of my repeated shopping experiences I have here. It's worth shopping at but know your prices and limits.

The future of this store is also unknown as it is set to move within 9 years due to the council wanting to turn this shop location back into a cinema.

My favourite Cashies store that I've been to

With Buy and Loans, you get Morgan who can easily remember your name, great customer service, and honest prices he'd buy your goods for (he can sell your goods fairly quick, even that one DVD that should have never been sold into the store because miscommunication). Sam is another great asset to the store who can give generous offers for your goods and is very friendly and professional. Steve is a great buy and loans operator too which I haven't seen him much but again, generous offers too from him and great customer service.

The buy and loans operators to look for to sum up are Morgan, Sam, and Steve.

Down next door in the Retail Department, my favourite out of the bunch of people I've dealt with is Karen. She's the main jewellery department lady who can be fair with negotiations and doesn't compromise with your warranty for negotiations. She's also friendly and lets you grab the stuff out of the glass cabinet on your own with supervision. Basma a fairly new but one of the more senior retail assistants are good where she can give you extra warranty if you're unhappy with the warranty. She won't miss a beat. I also saw Nat and another lady (never saw or asked her name) who seems very knowledgeable on Televisions. I've spoken to them like once but never served by them.

The part time staff seem good too which many of them filled in the jobs of the full time regulars as they were absent today. Janine who I think worked here for a long-time as a part time Jewellery Assistant who is ready to fill in for Karen whenever she is not working. As I was ready to grab a DS game from the glass cabinet, Janine was willing to come over and serve me unlike another staff member who I think is a buy and loans operator that had to fill in for a retail assistant as illnesses are spreading around. Janine was happy for me to inspect a PS4 game I also grabbed and was impressed with the condition of the game I grabbed. She also kept 90 days of warranty for me.

Always look for Karen whenever she is around. I also don't know whether Vesna is still working in the store but she wasn't a winner for me.

Rob is the Manager of the store and Angel is now the Assistant Manager (currently being trained). Heard good things about those workers.

There are also a massive range of comics worth checking out so forget the comic store down in the city, Cashies is covered and there are more to arrive in stock as I took in another comic. Thank you Sam and Morgan for letting me about a massive range of comics that are being sold, and thanks Morgan for not low-balling me with the comic as there are too many to sell.

Remember, goods are purchased at a standard markup of 300%, but Grade D goods have a markup between 200-300% however are sold for lower prices.

Store is a reasonable size and has a good amount of stock available, yet it used to be overstocked and these guys have sorted out the massive amounts of stock that turned up to your shop over the pandemic.

Will shop again, however the future of this store is unknown as it is set to move within 10 years due to the council wanting to turn this shop location back to a cinema.

Yet another business that has a web based store option with a contact us page in the guise of an "Ask a Question" form, which they promptly ignore.
