Long story short, I've never had the misfortune of doing business with a worse group of people. These unprofessional cinderblocks broke my favourite jacket, took absolutely no responsibility, gave me an incorrect replacement piece and refused to refund me for the service or the cost of the correct replacement piece.



They'll reply to this review saying I refused to let them fix it - I asked them to cease the service immediately so I could come and view the damage in person before I agreed to any fixes. Once I got there, no apologies, no responsibility, they just handed me an incorrect zipperhead as a replacement. I told them this was incorrect. They said take it or leave it, it became obvious they were incompetent and weren't going to order the correct piece of hardware or put it on properly. The zipper needed to have a secondary piece removed and replaced in order to repair the zipper head which they also couldn't acknowledge. Not up to the task at all.



They'll reply to this saying the jacket was old and it was a "wear and tear" break, but I acknowledged the age of the jacket and noted the areas around the sleeves that were worn out when I undertook the cleaning service - there was nothing wrong with the metal zipper before it went in, and it came out broken. Wear and tear doesn't snap a metal zipperhead clean off. Even if it is old, it's a precious and beloved jacket and it deserved care as part of the service I paid for. At the end of the day it was broken by THEIR staff, on THEIR premises, and they didn't offer the correct piece of hardware as a replacement or any sense of responsibility or remorse for the breakage. Just a get lost attitude, unhelpful and rude staff members and a complete ineptitude for customer service.



Had they said "We're really sorry that this has happened, we've refunded the service as an apology and we'll do everything in our power to get it fixed correctly, can you advise on how you'd like to proceed?" they would have had me as a customer for LIFE. Instead they essentially told me take it or leave it with an incorrect repair. In doing so they've chosen to make a full time brand ambassador out of me for life, so I'll be sure to tell every living soul in the Illawarra not to take their business to Synergy Dry Cleaning.
