I asked for " pork bones", for what the Maori's call a boil up. I asked for $10 worth, but when I got home, the bones had been stripped of every single shred of meat. Never had issues before with buying them, but I'm at a loss as to why any butcher would sell bones stripped of all meat. You would'nt even feed these to a dog. Total rip off

They were selling what they called chicken necks, but they were over 150 mm long and reddish in colour. They were more like your turkey necks I would guess. I bought 6kg at the time as they were only $1.99 a killo and offered them to my dogs who always devour chicken necks at high speed to only have them turn their noses up and leave them. No amount of encouragement could get them to eat them. I returned the remaining 5kg to Edwards for a refund, but was refused point blank and told there was nothing wrong with the necks and no-one else had complained. Talking to friend a few days later she confirmed her dog had the same reaction, but as she had only bought a killo could not be bothered to return to complain. I think it is very poor that a butcher sells dubious products for animals then refuses to be responsible for the product. I will not shop there again due to there off hand response and I do buy a lot of chicken necks and other meat products.
