Failed duty of care

Long read, But it will make you reconsider ever wasting your time at this clinic.

I have been to this clinic about 3 times. The second time I was seen by a highly impatient and rude Dr. I went in and listed my symptoms to him and his response was ‘ I’m not looking into all of those, I haven’t even had lunch yet’. I was speechless, that is unfortunate, but it is also not my issue? IMO.

I said I would never go back, BUT this week my 2YO was unwell and they had the earliest appointment available. So went in, describing my child’s symptoms to a different Dr this time, told him he was waking up screaming in pain through the night telling me his ear was sore. I told the Dr. I think he has an ear infection. Less than 5 minutes in the room with the Dr he checked both ears ONLY, asked no questions did no other checks and said my child just had a lot of wax in his ears blocking his ear drum, NO antibiotics needed. He sent me to the chemist to get ear cleaner & that was it.

2 days later I picked my child up from childcare, he had rashes on both ears looking like a trail from the inner ear. So I took him to a different Dr. Let me tell you… the look on the New Dr. face when I told him about this ordeal. The New Dr we went to checked his ears, temp, asked questions about recent events, checked his weight and everything. We walked out of this Dr. Being told his ears are highly infected, there is no wax in my 2YO ears but in fact it was Puss! He is now on antibiotics 3x a day because of the ‘ear cleaner’ I was told to use put on the infection and because it was left untreated longer because of the Manor lakes Dr.

Cheers Manor lakes Medical centre for making my child’s ear infection so much worse, Neglecting your duty of care. I don’t know how that clinic is even in business or how those Dr. Got their licenses, the lack of care is disgusting.
