What does a Removalist do?
A Removalist offers services that can help make your move smoother and more seamless. Moving can be time-consuming and tedious, so Removalists can pack your belongings and transport them to their destination. In doing so, you no longer have to source any of the packing materials or moving trucks on your own.

How much does it cost, on average, to move a 3-Bedroom Home?
It would cost about $725 to $1300 to move a 3-bedroom home, depending on how many movers will be working. On average, the hourly rates are around $145 for two men and $200 for three men, and the process usually takes 5-8 hours to complete. However, these prices are only estimated as actual costs can still vary for individual cases.
How do you calculate moving costs?
Moving costs are calculated primarily based on the distance between the origin and destination, and the weight and type of goods to be transported. If you want to get a rough estimate of your moving costs, you can head on to https://www.aaacityremovalist.com.au/moving-home-and-office-calculator/ to use our calculator.
How can you move interstate without spending a lot?
Moving interstate can be costly, so one of the cheapest ways to move furniture interstate is to hire a professional Removalist company. With their services, you can save from not having to get a truck, buy packing materials, or pay for the permits needed in interstate moves. Additionally, an insured company gives you security to ensure that you are covered for possible damages and losses.
How much is a Removalist truck?
Moving truck rentals can have varying costs based on how long you will be using the truck. The average cost is about $1,550, but you may spend less than $1,000 for a smaller move or more than $2,000 for a longer-distance move. Since truck rentals can easily be expensive, it is usually more cost-effective to hire a moving company that can supply the truck and movers already.
How do I find a good Removalist?
Researching before hiring a Removalist can ensure that you find a competent and trusted professional. A good Removalist must be licensed, insured, reputable, and experienced in the industry to ensure that you have a stress-free move with the team. Take your time deciding who to hire since the Removalist you choose can affect the moving experience.
Is it cheaper to buy new furniture or move it?
The answer will vary on a case-to-case basis. For example, if your furniture is newly bought or still relatively new, it will be more cost-effective to move it instead of buying a new one. Usually, it is the older furniture pieces that can be costly to move since they are no longer as valuable. However, sentimental value is also an important consideration. Thus, there is no sure answer on what will be the cheaper option.
How much does a Sydney Removalist cost?
The average cost for moving is about $180 per hour for two movers. However, rates may vary based on where you live and how big your home is. For example, in some cases, you may need more than two movers or a larger truck to fit all your belongings. For these removals, costs will be adjusted accordingly.
How long will it take movers to pack a house?
The duration varies based on the size of your home and the Removalist crew. As an estimate, it can take about 3-4 hours for two movers to pack a studio or about 3-5 hours for a 1-bedroom unit and 4-6 hours for a 2-bedroom home. For three movers working on a 3- or 4-bedroom home, packing takes about 5-8 or 6-9 hours, respectively. Finally, it can take around 8-11 hours for four movers to pack a 5-bedroom home.

We booked AAA City Removalists to remove the contents of our 1-bed apartment from one place to another nearby. They were terrible from start to finish and we were unhappy and disappointed by the service. They turned up very late in the day past the time slot of 5 HOURS they had given us. We were storing all of our things at a friends place so everything was packed and waiting for them. It was apparent immediately that the removalists were not trained, did not know how to pack the van efficiently and were very careless. We asked them multiple times to be careful after watching them banging our belongings into walls, dragging them across the floors and the bottom of the truck and even kicking our table to get it through a door. Not only did they cause damage to our belongings they caused damage to the hallways and doorframes in our friends property. Almost every large item of furniture was badly scratched when it arrived at the new apartment, and some crockery was broken.
One of the removalists was very incompetent and lazy, and it was clear the other man was frustrated with him but really neither of them should have been allowed to touch our things. Not only were they careless they were incredibly slow (which I am sure they were told to be because they were paid by the hour). We ended up moving a large bulk of the items ourselves because we could see the move taking hours and could have done the job just as quick and without damaged furniture if we had just hired a van. My partner complained on the phone to a staff member who was demanding payment before the job was finished and he was incredibly rude and aggressive. In the end we refused to give them our card details and they had to wait while we went to find a cash machine. The company needs to put some effort into employing and training proper staff because this is not acceptable.
We have lodged a complaint with them which they have failed to acknowledge and we are now taking the matter to Fair Trading.

I had AAA do our recent move. They were on-time and everything went well.
I was contacted by AAA approx a week later and told I had been slightly over charged... $ was refunded on the spot.
Thankyou David for your honesty !

Got AAA to move a 2 br house in Newtown(meaning its a shoe box),500m up the road to a 2 br,2 storey house in Enmore.
Most of the boxes meant for upstairs were left downstairs(Wait didn't I pay the removalists so I dont have to lift the heavy boxes upstairs?)Most of the items weren't even put in their labelled rooms.I provided a floor plan to the movers and labelled every item where I wanted it.
Mostly none of it was adhered to.Some big items like beds and mirrors were in the right place,I'll give that. But boxes and other items, none of it was in the right place.Boxes for the kitchen were in the dining room, boxes for the upstairs office were in the kitchen etc
I went to my old residence, they'd taken off the door stop to a bedroom for easier access and didn't put it back on.I messaged the mover and asked where he put the door stop and got no response. After I paid my whopping $1652 bill, that's the kind of service I got.No response to tell me where they'd put my stuff they'd dismantled. They took off the fly screen and glass security door, when I came back the door was still off. They just shut the gate and thats it.I had no door
hey didn't reassemble any of my items and didn't bother to put anything where I wanted. My white leather lounge was turned upside down on the floor. They broke my 21st birthday present of a dragon statue(I paid an extra $200 to have everything that needed to be wrapped wrapped). The house was a disaster. Was so mad to get the call saying how long it took and was being charged.I even hired the extra man to make the job go faster.3 men to move a 2 bedroom house in 9.5 hours with no lunch break, and only 500 metres up the road.
The explanation was that they had to do a 2nd trip. What nonsense. If this was my first time moving this amount of furniture,I may have believed it.But I am, and everyone Ive spoken to agree that the hours taken to complete the move is absolutely dumbfounding.

We used AAA city revivalist for our Sydney move, the guys turned up on time, got straight on with the job and got everything done quicker than I had anticipated. They were friendly and asked where we wanted things to go, I would definitely recommend using them

Slow, we ended up having to help load and unload to speed up the process, uses bathrooms without asking and stay in there for a while.
All I heard out of their mouth was "that'll be extra", "I'll have to charge you extra" we moved from Wollongong to Sydney in half the time and half the cost!!!!! this time it was 20mins down the road!!!!! Please avoid if you don't want to pay a fortune in moving costs!

Moving his HELL!! I called a couple of companies and as with everything I have found here, its over priced! Hidden charges and requests for stupid amounts of money. I then found AAA and was happy with the cost, and happy with the friendly person on the other end of the phone, every question was answered and nothing was a hassle. The day came for my move and they arrive EXACTLY when they said they would, the 2 guys that moved my stuff were brilliant and very friendly. I would highly recommend using this company, you would not be disapointed

AAA's removal staff organised our move on the day we had asked, and the truck arrived within their advised time. The guys did a great job especially as there were three flights of stairs to manouvre our furniture down. All our furniture and belongings, especially those with glass, were packed very safely and the move was totally done with great care. We have no hesitation in recommending this very efficient and reliable company.

We've used these guys several times over the past few years, most recently twice this week. They're fast, friendly and efficient - just what you need in a removalist. We're very happy and I highly recommend them.
