Will my dog be healthy in a kennel?
Index
Reputable dog kennels offer a wide range of services and facilities to ensure that their canine guests are healthy during their stay. Regardless of your dog’s requirements or your own preferences, there will be a dog kennel or boarding facility to suit you both.
Not just a kennel
Today’s dog accommodation is as varied and diverse as accommodation for humans. Dogs are exposed to clean environments with activities such as walking, swimming, play time, human one-on-one time, naps, TV and group playtimes scheduled into their days (activities vary depending on kennel). Many facilities have temperature controlled sleeping and day quarters so that animals will not suffer in extreme heat or cold.
Room Service
Most kennels ensure that their guests are fed separately to ensure that each dog receives their food without worrying about competition. Dogs who are on medication are also usually catered for in kennels as are those who follow a special diet. All reputable kennels will insist on up to date vaccinations and immunisations to ensure none of their guests are put at risk.

Some dogs are much happier when they are part of a team. Many kennels offer the facility to have your dog stay with a compatible “buddy” during their visit. Or – if they’re happier alone – they can pass their stay in peace and quiet.
