What does a Removalist do?

A Removalist offers services that can help make your move smoother and more seamless. Moving can be time-consuming and tedious, so Removalists can pack your belongings and transport them to their destination. In doing so, you no longer have to source any of the packing materials or moving trucks on your own.

Are your Removalist services anywhere near me?

AAA City Removalist services areas in New South Wales, Canberra, and interstate. You can also search Removalists near me to see if our services cover your location. To know more about the areas we cover, you can check out the full list here to see if our services are near you: https://www.aaacityremovalist.com.au/serviced-areas/.

How much does it cost, on average, to move a 3-Bedroom Home?

It would cost about $725 to $1300 to move a 3-bedroom home, depending on how many movers will be working. On average, the hourly rates are around $145 for two men and $200 for three men, and the process usually takes 5-8 hours to complete. However, these prices are only estimated as actual costs can still vary for individual cases.

How do you calculate moving costs?

Moving costs are calculated primarily based on the distance between the origin and destination, and the weight and type of goods to be transported. If you want to get a rough estimate of your moving costs, you can head on to https://www.aaacityremovalist.com.au/moving-home-and-office-calculator/ to use our calculator.

How can you move interstate without spending a lot?

Moving interstate can be costly, so one of the cheapest ways to move furniture interstate is to hire a professional Removalist company. With their services, you can save from not having to get a truck, buy packing materials, or pay for the permits needed in interstate moves. Additionally, an insured company gives you security to ensure that you are covered for possible damages and losses.

How much is a Removalist truck?

Moving truck rentals can have varying costs based on how long you will be using the truck. The average cost is about $1,550, but you may spend less than $1,000 for a smaller move or more than $2,000 for a longer-distance move. Since truck rentals can easily be expensive, it is usually more cost-effective to hire a moving company that can supply the truck and movers already.

How do I find a good Removalist?

Researching before hiring a Removalist can ensure that you find a competent and trusted professional. A good Removalist must be licensed, insured, reputable, and experienced in the industry to ensure that you have a stress-free move with the team. Take your time deciding who to hire since the Removalist you choose can affect the moving experience.

Is it cheaper to buy new furniture or move it?

The answer will vary on a case-to-case basis. For example, if your furniture is newly bought or still relatively new, it will be more cost-effective to move it instead of buying a new one. Usually, it is the older furniture pieces that can be costly to move since they are no longer as valuable. However, sentimental value is also an important consideration. Thus, there is no sure answer on what will be the cheaper option.

How much does a Sydney Removalist cost?

The average cost for moving is about $180 per hour for two movers. However, rates may vary based on where you live and how big your home is. For example, in some cases, you may need more than two movers or a larger truck to fit all your belongings. For these removals, costs will be adjusted accordingly.

How long will it take movers to pack a house?

The duration varies based on the size of your home and the Removalist crew. As an estimate, it can take about 3-4 hours for two movers to pack a studio or about 3-5 hours for a 1-bedroom unit and 4-6 hours for a 2-bedroom home. For three movers working on a 3- or 4-bedroom home, packing takes about 5-8 or 6-9 hours, respectively. Finally, it can take around 8-11 hours for four movers to pack a 5-bedroom home.

Most dreadful service I've ever received. They overcharged, were rude, and ended up doing half the work myself. Do No Use Them.

The single worst moving experience of all time! No blankets, no care. Moved us into our brand new home and ripped out plaster n the stairwell being careless with a mattress. We've since moved several queen mattresses up and down the stairs without incident. Put our large cabinet in the truck, on its side with no blanket. We had to throw it out it was so damaged. All promise and absolutely no care!

This is the worst removals company !!! Do not use!!!

We booked these guys to move from a 2 bedroom unit into another 2 bedroom unit in western sydney. Very simple move. We basically have nothing compared to a normal house hold. The guys turned up (on-time) and only one of them could barely speak english. They started working and started carrying out one box at a time, at a snails pace. It wasn't until I told them to use their trolley and load numerous boxes on there that they did. They continued work and were working at an absolute snails pace. I had to keep an eye on them at all times because they would either revert back to carrying one item out at a time or having a smoke/telephone break at will. Anyway, I ended up keeping on top of them and they packed up the unit in a few hours, which is ridiculous in itself for what I have.

We get to my new unit, which they drove average speed of 30km/h to.. and they bring snail paced to an absolute new level. Smoke and telephone breaks galore, I tell them off and they pretend like they understand no enligsh at all now. I literally emptied the 7 tonne truck by myself. Even after telling them off for having to unload a 7 tonne truck by myself, these guys pretend not to understand and continue luxuriously carting items at a snail pace. At this point even my sick girlfriend is working harder than them as it's obvious time will blow out with them.

Then the kicker, it's all done and they magically get their english skills back. Its time for payment. Apparently I had "so much stuff" (I dont even have wall units, dressers, cupboards... any significant furniture like a normal household). They say they need to jack the price up.

I tell them to GGF after unloading a 7 tonne truck for them, give them the normal rate they didnt even deserve and left it at that.

I'm honestly shocked to read other reviews where people had to do most of the work themselves like me. How pathetic is this. What kind of removalist company would provide such bad service?

I've moved a lot in my life. This is literally the worst company in Sydney.

Booked moving service from Leichhardt to Bexley for a one bedroom apartment. The move took over four hours as they clearly took as long as possible. As they were moving my stuff into the new place the storage unit called to say that some of my furniture had been left behind. I told the removalists about it and they said they didn't have time to go back and get it so I would have to. No discount at all was offered.
When I called the company to ask if someone else could go and get the rest of my stuff they told me I would have to pay for it but would give me a small discount. I now have to hire a ute and pay for extra storage.

We moved with AAA last weekend.
Had the free boxes delivered quickly, and were all great quality, as opposed to the old and shabby ones we received from our old removalists.
They turned up in the time frame we were told. We had Sam in Truck 30. All in all, they worked very hard for us at the end of a long day for them. Nothing was too hard or too much for them, even in helping us move our 400L fish tank! All of our furniture is in tip top shape, and the utmost care was taken in loading and unloading all of it.
Will definitely be requesting Sam and Truck 30 in the future, and have already recommended them to my mum and colleague for their upcoming moves!

Tried to obtain a quote & was advised that whilst they don't quote they would give an indicative figure. Took details etc & provided a quote.
On the day they turned up late, then brought a truck two small which resulted in two trips needed. charged for the additional kms & all the additional time. we moved a 3 br house without much gear (2 people, no kids) & this took them almost 8 hours. which cost approx $1600.
Items broken & not advised, 1 chair, marks in walls & floors, hit color-bond fence.
In addition to all of this only the driver could speak English & was rude all the time, so no help.
It was the most frustrating & expensive day.
Do not on any circumstance use these.
