Dear Couriers Please,
Thanks for the refund!!
I am sending you this email as a courtesy because I will post it on review sites that mention your company (and there are a great deal of sites discussing your disgusting service and ethics).
After 11 days of dealing with the worst "courier" company in Australia I reckon I deserve a medal.
Both the owner at the pick-up address and myself have been greatly disadvantaged by the rubbish service that you provide.
I am a trainer and the parcel that was meant to arrive before last Friday was important safety equipment required for a Course that I ran this Monday (7 days after I paid you in full to deliver my parcel from Melbourne to Brisbane). Thanks to you I have now incurred many "out of pocket" expenses for the hire of gear to run my course. Not good enough!
I feel sorry for the poor girls in your call centres that have to deal with the ineptitude that is a cancer in your company. All but one of your ladies in the Brisbane centre have been great, and i have called SEVERAL times and wasted many hours trying to organise to get my package picked-up.....Oh wait! Isn't that what I paid YOU to do??
You really need to do a web search for "Couriers Please review" and open your eyes to what you read! It's basically impossible to be rated any lower by your paying customers.
I've been lied to and told rubbish all the way through.
The courier tried on Thursday and Friday but nobody home when he buzzed! I have pictures of the package outside the front door every day so he would have to step over it to knock on the door (there is no door bell)
The courier will go again on Thursday evening to pick-up the parcel. Owner home, parcel outside door.....no show by Couriers Please.
One of your call centre ladies tried to make excuses and tell me the address isn't good enough! Pizza guys, Australia Post and other couriers have been using the same address successfully, so why can't your company successfully use it? Retarded s

So I purchased a plant from a seller, which was posted first thing on Monday morning. Since it's a living thing, there is a certain sense of urgency.
For the whole of Tuesday and Wednesday, I never left the house. I decided to check the mail on Wednesday afternoon only to find a parcel card with NO details written (no date or consignment number), except the delivery notification number (thankfully). After reading some of the reviews here, it seems to be pretty normal for the driver to not even bother to "attempt" delivery.
I then called up customer service and they refused to re-deliver and insisted I have to pick up the parcel from a newsagent. No ETA was given.
I called up the next day on Thursday and they told me the driver was behind schedule and that it wouldn't get to the newsagent til after 4pm. I couldn't make it on that day unfortunately due to work commitments.
Then on Friday, I looked up online and it still said "In Transit", so I called up customer service and was then told it wouldn't get to the newsagents til after 5pm. The guy even had the nerve to tell me that the driver drove past my area, and again reminding me they would not re-deliver unless I was willing to wait til Monday next week. At no point did I ever hear an apology for the delay and being thrown around with unreliable ETAs.
So I drove through peak hour traffic to the newsagent after 5pm (as instructed) and it's still not here. So here I was, currently waiting for 2 hours (not exaggerating) at the newsagent for the driver to deliver my parcel to the newsagent because I was desperate to pick up my plant before the weekend. He never showed up and I had to leave because the newsagent had to close. So not only did I not get a chance to organise a re-delivery, I have to wait until next week even after wasting my time waiting for the driver.
I don't know if your staff hate their jobs, but you should really investigate your company because this is just pathetic. Does your company ta

Couriers Please are by far the worst courier in Australia. The drivers regularly punish customers by refusing to pick up goods. They are owner operators, so they can make their own rules. There is no leadership, no control, and no accountability in head office. Drivers can get away with anything they like. They drop and damage goods with no recourse. When a driver smashed a 32KG item in front of me, damaging the goods and my floor, the response was just sorry and he drove off. Twice now I have had to call 5 times per instance where Couriers Please have protected a militant driver who decides that hes not going to make a pickup, because he doesnt like the packaging, or because by looking at the item, hes determined that its over weight. To this day I have goods which are sitting out the front of a customers house and have been there for two weeks. I have called head office five times, and their response is: we will send an Email. Drivers hold all of the power, and theres nothing a customer can do if they want to make life difficult. They decide when and if they will bother to show up. There is no way to contact a driver or a depot if they hold your business to ransom. There is no way to make a complaint against a driver, because they are protected by head office. You cannot even find out who youre dealing with on the other end. Your goods go from one franchise business, to Couriers Please, then onto another franchise business, before they reach you or your customer. Goods can go missing at any point along the journey, and theres little hope of finding them. Every party just points their fingers at one another. I suggest using another company and avoiding Couriers Please at all costs. There are plenty of carriers. Its not necessary to risk your businesss reputation on this one.

Not even worthy of a 1 star. Couriers Please Adelaide - WHAT A BUNCH OF ABSOLUTE IDIOTS run this branch. We could not even get the courier to collect a parcel in his zone - the supplier had to drive the parcel to their depot three days later !!!!!! Who is running this circus. The most frustrating thing is that one is not able to talk to anyone with authority, they boast about great customer service and guarantee a 4 hour turnaround for enquiries, but no-one has had the decency to get back to me 3 days later, this - even after me calling continuously to try and resolve the issue. I paid for an overnight service (not cheap) 4 business days ago and my parcel is still sitting in the office in Adelaide. I am sure there are far more competent employees out there who would do anything to be given the opportunity to work and offer a much better service than this. Feels like I am dealing with darkest Africa here.

Would give zero stars if I could.
Been waiting for 3 WEEKS for my goods to arrive from NSW. I was old it'll only take 1-2 business days. Did not know the seller was using this poor excuse of a courier company.
My address easily pops up on Google maps but the driver put it down as " cannot be found" so it was sent back to Sydney (never even bothered to try contact me) . Called a week ago to arrange re delivery and Jayne from Couriers please sent an email saying it'll be 48 hours.
A week has gone since then and I still have nothing. Apparently the customer service agents can never seem to get in contact with the drivers.
I REALLY HOPE YOU CLOSE UP FOR GOOD

Disgusted!! When purchasing online, unfortunately you don't have a choice of the courier company used by the store you purchased from and on the two occasions I've had couriers please I've had horrible service! On the first occasion I ordered a trampoline and when I called to track the deliver the snappy lady on the phone told me that I need to be willing and able to help the courier move the boxes from the van as its a large item and he can't do it by himself!!! Why would you transport heavy items if the driver has not got help or is unable to remove them from the van??
my second encounter: Although I had requested on my order to have my parcel left at the door, the store I purchased from sent an email recommending I contact the courier company to confirm that I am giving 'authority to leave' to them for my parcel. So straight away I call Couriers please and wait a good 15 minutes for my call to be answered, only for the lady on the line to (not apologize for the wait) but to tell me my parcel will only go out tomorrow and confirm that they can see on the notes on file that I had requested the parcel to be left at the door, however, SOMETIMES THE DRIVERS DON'T READ THE NOTES!!! The lady asked me to call back tomorrow morning after 8am and request the operator calls the driver to notify them of my authority to leave!!!....ok...I call back this morning, the day my parcel is due to be delivered and wait another 10 min for my call to be answered. This time another lady tells me that If I am home or if someone is there, to put a note on the door to let the driver know to leave the parcel at the door! EXCUSE ME?? Why would I ask for the parcel to be left at the door if someone is home to receive it? Then I reiterate the advise I was told yesterday by Couriers Please, I get a huff and puff and a hold on a minute. She then returns to me a short time later saying she tried to call the driver but did not get an answer but had sent him a message. OMG

This is the absolute worst, most incompetent and unprofessional courier company I've ever dealt with. I've been waiting over a week for a parcel that still hasn't arrived and have spent countless hours chasing it up. Reading the other reviews on this page, I don't understand how this company is still in business. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

The absolute worst courier company in Australia. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.
Wrote "please leave by front door" in the delivery instructions even though i was home all day (I work from home). Driver didnt even knock, just slipped a 'sorry we missed you' card under the door. Called their 'customer service' (lol) number to be told by a very rude woman that she has no contact with the driver and all she could do is book re delivery the next day. Wouldnt let me finish a sentence and kept speaking over me.....
Called back the next afternoon to find out where my package was only to be told there hadnt been a redelivery booked and the driver didnt have my package on board. Was assured by a supervisor that my delivery would be made the next morning and that she would call me first thing to confirm a time. No phone call and no delivery.
It has been 3 days since i should have received my order and i still have no idea where it is. This has resulted in me having to let down 2 of my customers who were expecting orders delivered because i dont have the stock.
I cannot emphasise enough DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

SUMMARY: AVOID AT ALL COST! Terrible customer service and COMPLETELY unreliable!!! Take 48 hours to deliver a package, and if you dare to leave your home for 5 minutes you might miss them and now you're in a whole new world of inconvenience...
First experience: What a nightmare. If you're not a home they don't just drop it off at the post office or similar, but you have to go to their website and manually do a redelivery request. Ain't nobody got time for that!
Second experience: You wait all day for them to ring the doorbell. They never do and you are forced to repeat the experience above!
Third experience: I'm done with these lazy people. I waited 48 hours for them to deliver a package from one suburb to the next.... If I knew it would take that long I would have just walked down and got it myself! But when they finally come around to deliver it, even though I specifically asked them to call me they didn't...
I never hated a company before, I didn't even know I had it in me... But here we are.

Didn't even attempt to make delivery - I called them to find out where the parcel was as I had heard nothing and they promised they would call the driver and get back to me. I rang that day 3 times to follow up with the same "we will get back to you" response. Two days later I finally get a call from some rude girl telling me I needed to drive out to port melbourne to pick the item up. I hope the person I bought from didn't have to pay for such a pathetic excuse for a courier company.
